Sales and Channel Marketing

The fundamental objective of EMS's Sales division is creating that link between manufacturer and consumer by leveraging our extensive network of key carriers, distributors and retailers to ensure the availability and assit in demand creation and elevation of the product at any given point in time to all potential buyers. We continue to manage this by providing a best in class customer relationship management, full support and ownership through creation of real partnerships with our customer base, and working with genuine perseverance and professionalism to sign up any and all potential partners. At EMS Sales we have a motto: “Our partner’s success is our success”. In our ongoing efforts to ensure continuous principal, partner, and product success, we provide our professional marketing services to assist in creating awareness and promoting BlackBerry services and products among Business and Individual users. With effectively planned campaigns, we manage to create that unique link between marketing and sales in which we ensure maximum impact and exposure that ultimately reflect in growing sales numbers.

Logistics

Logistics aims at providing all EMS customers with increased flexibility and efficiency through our end-to-end logistics services, offered to operators and retail partners. This is part of our commitment to deliver exceptional quality products and services to meet the diverse needs of our customers. This efficiency of Logistics largely contributed towards the organization's attainment of ISO Certification on the Supply chain / Logistics Processes. With over 150 customers spread over two continents, EMS along with 3PL partners have successfully been able to reach and deliver to customers without any major hurdles. Logistics business function has been recognized and appreciated at the annual Bukhatir awards by being awarded as "Best Logistics of the Year" for 2008 and 2010. Our state of the art distribution centers are equipped with advance bundling machines and 2D scanners with the capacity of processing more than 80K units/day located in Dubai, Bahrain, Riyadh, Jeddah, Kuwait and Qatar are readily available 24/7 to serve our customers. We are on a constant look out for new suppliers and partners who not only share similar goals and objectives but also who have the tendency to work within the professional statute and code of ethics. EMS logistics department strongly believes in operating lawfully and choses its partners with similar beliefs. 

Business Development

The EMS Business Development division executes the company’s strategy in growing sales in new customer segments and markets. One of the key roles it plays is in signing up new telecom carriers globally to EMS products and managed services portfolio. As part of this responsibility, the Business Development team runs a highly recognized industry practice called the Market Foundation Program (MFP). This is a systematic process to “incubate” the ever increasing carriers and resellers in the new markets of operation to ensure their success at the earliest possible time. The Business Development team also manages EMS strategy and sales on carrier app stores and applications to its regional carriers, resellers, enterprise customers and to end consumers. In 2010, it established a New Ventures department to identify companies of a good strategic fit for EMS to partner with, to take an equity position in, or to acquire. The Business Development team is made of highly seasoned professionals with strong regional, commercial, and industry knowledge.

Operations

The Operations Department was established in 2009 to support our expanding business in the Middle East, Pakistan, Africa and the CIS regions.Fully aware of the importance of efficiency in terms of cost, contract management and overall support to business, the following areas fall under the umbrella of operations:

Procurement

The Operations Department – in coordination with other departments – procures the goods and services required to run the business. In this role, the department implements cost-efficient measures such as an efficient purchasing system; negotiating competitive prices; obtaining quality products; and assuring timely delivery through a proper supplier selection and management system.

Administration Support

Operations provide management and staff complete support in all internal and external administrative activities. It also coordinates with the property management division, consultants, government authorities and fit-out contractors when setting up the new offices locally and overseas.

Establishment of Company

If required to establish a legal entity in a particular country – where an outsourced management model has limitations – then the department undertakes the formation of a company according to the governing laws of the country in question.

Corporate Marketing

Corporate Marketing at EMS is focused at driving the company’s communication that reflects the vision and values of EMS both internally and externally. We aim at developing the EMS corporate brand which we believe is the face of the company and all the other EMS brands as the partner of choice in smartphones and mobility solutions. Our brand strategy sets us apart from any other company which help us build and strengthen our corporate brand equity, image and positioning resulting in uplifting the face of the company. Whether it is PR, advertising, website, market research, social marketing, brand activation, corporate events, direct marketing all go hand in hand at EMS where we believe in 360 degrees marketing.

HR

HR at EMS helps nurturing an open and winning culture, where everyone is aligned in delivering business results based on our values and vision. We recruit, retain and develop our people and try and ensure that our people get a platform and an environment where they can apply their energies in the most productive and focused manner. Finance

EMS Finance helps provide the financing and accounting information necessary to make various decisions. This department has a role that encompasses a number of duties viz., data processing and maintenance, compliance with International Accounting Standards, overseeing statutory and internal audits, providing accurate and timely information to Managers, ensuring business receives the necessary financing it needs, supports the CEO’s office for corporate governance and risk management and strives to maximize returns to shareholders. The goals of the department would be to continue to provide world class support services to business make the business cost effective and create an effective control environment.
